Our story

Continuity, with a personal approach.

Farrell Accountants was formed in September 2015 by brothers Gary and Niall Farrell. They took over the successful practice of M King & Co, who had been providing accounting and tax services in the area for over 30 years.

We aim to provide a professional service with a personal approach. We strive to ensure that your work, which is overseen by a senior partner at every level, is carried out to the highest possible standard. Our friendly, reliable and experienced staff ensure that your personal and corporate needs are in the best of hands.

Director

Gary Farrell FFA

Having qualified from Accounting Technicians Ireland in 1996, Gary has over 20 years’ experience within the accountancy profession. In 2006 he qualified as an associate of the Institute of Financial Accountants and attained fellowship status in 2011. In 2015 Gary became an affiliate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ireland. Within the practice Gary focuses on Personal Tax along with all aspects of Accounts Preparation for Sole Trades, Partnerships and Clubs. He has extensive knowledge of the Construction Industry and Agri-business.

Niall Farrell ACA

Niall qualified from the University of Ulster in 2004 with his degree in Accountancy and obtained his membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ireland in 2008. Throughout his professional career he has gained experience in all sectors of accountancy. Within the practice Niall focuses on our Corporate clients, as well as lending his expertise to Business Start Ups and tax planning for both our Individual and Corporate clientele.

Fiona McCrickard

Fiona has vast experience within all sections of accountancy and focuses on the preparation of Sole Trader and Partnership Accounts. She also works closely with both the UK and Irish tax authorities to ensure the timely repayment of UK and Irish tax refunds for our clients.

Declan Morgan

Declan brings a vast amount of experience to the practice and is involved in all aspects of SME, Partnership and Sole Trader accounts production and tax planning.

Office Manager

Christine Mason

Having worked for M King & Co for over 30 years, Christine has gained a vast knowledge of the existing client base. Christine maintains the daily running of the practice and provides expert support in PAYE, VAT and Accounts Production.

Payroll Administrator

Eileen O’Keefe

Eileen oversees the Payroll activities within the practice. With extensive experience in this area she is fully aware of all the requirements placed upon businesses by HMRC, including Payroll, Auto Enrolment, CIS Returns and much more.

VAT Admin

Veronica McAleenan

Veronica provides bookkeeping services including the preparation and filing of UK and ROI VAT Returns, EU VAT Refunds and the preparation of DIY Housebuilder VAT Reclaims. Veronica also has extensive knowledge of SAGE Line 50 and cloud-based accounting software.

Kerry Farrell

Kerry provides bookkeeping services including the preparation and filing of UK and ROI VAT Returns and EU VAT Refunds.

Michelle Middleton

Michelle provides bookkeeping services including the preparation and filing of UK and ROI VAT Returns and EU VAT Refunds. Michelle also has extensive knowledge of SAGE Line 50 and cloud-based accounting software.
